It’s Official: After Last Night’s Debut, Philadelphia Loves Chip Kelly
The Chip Kelly Era has begun, and based on the coach’s debut last night, it is going to be a sweet one. The Eagles overtook the Washington Redskins 33-27, debuting a rapid-fire offense that launched 53 plays by halftime alone.
This being the first Eagles game not headed up by Andy Reid in what feels like millennia, Kelly had a precedent to set with the Philly sports crowd, and set it he did. Last night’s win is the first debut win for an Eagles coach since Rich Kotite did it in 1991.
Philadelphia, naturally, has noticed. Perhaps we’re still in the honeymoon phase with him, but we as a city seem to be in love with Chip Kelly:

So, I’m pretty sure Chip Kelly will lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl win within seven years. Which would be nice.
