Pederson: Mychal Kendricks Has Fractured Nose

Mychal Kendricks has a fractured nose and knee contusion, but he “should be okay” to play against the Steelers on Sunday, according to Doug Pederson. The Eagles’ head coach added he’s unsure how Kendricks hurt his nose, saying it was some type of “helmet-hand combination.”

Pederson listed Kendricks as day-to-day, as he did with Isaac Seumalo, who still has a pectoral strain. Zach Ertz (rib) and Leodis McKelvin (hamstring) are “healing fine,” Pederson said, but their statuses for the Pittsburgh game remain unclear.

One player who is expected to play against the Steelers but not in the following games is Lane Johnson, who has officially been suspended by the NFL. Johnson’s appeal hearing is set for October 4, so he will be available to play this week.

“Until I hear from the league office, Lane’s my starting right tackle,” Pederson said. “If (he’s suspended), then we go back to what we did in training camp. But until that time, we’re full go.”

If the Eagles do what they did in training camp, Allen Barbre would move to right tackle while Isaac Seumalo starts at left guard. While Barbre has played well in the first two games, he previously said he’s most comfortable on the left side of the offensive line, and that he prefers guard over tackle.
