First King of Prussia Savor Eateries Open
The first eateries that are part of the King of Prussia Mall’s expanded food area, Savor have now opened. Yesterday was the first day of Melt Shop, a New York-based comfort food spot that offers sandwiches, shakes, salads and sides. Highlights include classic grilled cheese to a truffle melt, burger melt and fried chicken. Shakes include Nutella, oreo and chocolate truffle. Tots can round out your decadent lunch or dinner.
The 1,300 square foot space is Melt Shop’s 7th location and first in Pennsylvania. The other six are located in New York City, Long Island and at the Mall of America in Minnesota.
Another New York based fast-casual chain is adding its second location to the King of Prussia Mall. Shake Shack, which also has a location on the edge of the mall property is not located in the mall’s expansion. The mall location will serve up all of Shake Shack’s classics plus the Shack Attack, a frozen chocolate custard concrete of fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough and dark chocolate chunks from Conshohocken’s Tradestone Confections.
Other local touches include beer from Yards Brewing and Yuengling plus a charitable connection to Valley Forge Park Alliance. 5% of all sales from the Shack Attack concrete will go to organization that maintains Valley Forge Park. Shake Shack employees will volunteer at events run by the organization.
This is just the first wave at Savor. Look for The Fat Ham, Hai Street Kitchen, Nicoletta Pizza and Sweetgreen to open in the coming weeks.
