The Eagles signed punter Ryan Quigley to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday afternoon. After signing with the Bears in 2012 as an undrafted free agent, Quigley spent the last three seasons with the Jets.

During his time with New York, Quigley averaged 45.1 yards per punt and had a net average of 38.9 yards per kick. Last season, Quigley averaged 43.8 and 36.5 in those two categories, compared to Donnie Jones’ 47.0 and 41.6. The Eagles also ranked third in the NFL last year in net punting average.

Quigley earned AFC Special Teams Player of the week honors last year when he filled in for an injured Nick Folk and made all four extra point attempts. He also handled his normal punting duties and kicked the ball off because Folk hurt himself during pregame warmups.
