Whenever we do a honeymoon roundup of sorts (whether it be luxury spots, must-visit islands or what have you), there are certain destinations that always pop up: Hawaii, Maldives, Greece, Bora Bora, all of the popular places in the Caribbean. And these are lovely spots for sure—we’ve got a few of ’em on our bucket lists—but sometimes we crave something a little different; places that haven’t already been branded classic honeymoon spots.
With that in mind, we’re excited to share TripAdvisor’s yearly picks for the top travel destinations in the world—a list that’ll certainly give you some diverse and not-so-traditional ideas for where to spend your ‘moon.
OK, so maybe we’ll nix New York from the ballot (save it for your bachelorette party), but otherwise you’ve got some solid options, both close to home and more far flung, to consider for your trip.
