The NTSB released its findings in the crash of Amtrak 188 today. There are interviews with the engineer and other crew members, and reams of very deep technical data. One of the documents contains still photos from the train’s onboard image recorder. The video above was made by stitching together that series of still images provided by NTSB; they begin as the train is about to head into Frankford Junction, and provide a portrait of the moment of the deadly derailment.
