We called Philly’s industry finest to hear their do’s and don’ts for the new year so you can face 2016 – and your next hair appointment – ahead of the curve.

Not This: Solid-end ombre; high-maintenance color like platinum blonde; lobs.

Do This: Soft color that’s painted on; seamless layers cut into the hair to create movement; long, heavy bangs.
Not This: Chunky foil highlights; blunt cuts with no layers.

Not This: Lobs; harsh, two-tone ombre.
