Food Trucks to Cater Mayor Jim Kenney’s Inauguration Party
Instead of an inaugural ball, Jim Kenney will celebrate taking the mayor’s office with a block party at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. And instead of a big catering company, Kenney is feeding the 1,500 attendees via nine Philadelphia food trucks. The Kenney team worked with the Philadelphia Mobile Food Association to select the participants who will be paid for the gig.
The invitation to the food trucks by Kenney, who has previously bodes well for mobile food industry in Philadelphia, which has been working hard to change laws and regulations towards the budding small businesses industry.
