The NFL trade deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday. We’ll update as news funnels through, particularly as it applies to the Eagles.

4:20 p.m. — And that’s a wrap. No trades, per Eagles spokesman.

4:10 p.m. — Not to be.

4:01 p.m. — A little action.

3:33 p.m. — Vinny Curry continues to draw interest.

3:20 p.m. — Jason La Canfora on potential trade candidates.

2:57 p.m. — Well, so much for the fire sale.

12:34 p.m. — Chip Kelly was asked if he expected any players to be coming in or going out prior to the trade deadline. “No,” he responded. Kelly added that Vinny Curry has not come up in trade discussions. 11:16 a.m. — Some info on the asking price for a top-end o-lineman:

10:11 a.m. — Pro Football Focus would like to see the Eagles trade for RGIII.

Robert Griffin III to Philadelphia for a 7th-round pick and a conditional pick based on playing time   Call this a trial period to see if RGIII fits what Chip Kelly is looking for and can excel in the Eagles’ system. By all accounts RGIII is set to be released by the Redskins at season’s end as his base salary of $16.2 million next year is prohibitive. That money would only be guaranteed if Griffin is unable to play at all next year due to an injury suffered this year. That’s where the Eagles come in. With over half a season still left, it’s unrealistic to expect Griffin to come in and help out right away, but it’s not crazy to think he could be the Eagles starter by season’s end.

But John Keim reports that Washington has received no offers for the QB. 10:02 a.m. — Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland writes about some of the Browns players that are on the trade block.

[Paul] Kruger could appeal to a contending team like Arizona, which has been deficient rushing the passer from the edge linebacker positions. The Browns may dangle other players for trade – linebacker Barkevious Mingo, cornerback Justin Gilbert, quarterback Johnny Manziel – but none is going to bring much more than a conditional draft pick in return.

—— 11:01 p.m. — A rocky situation in San Fran.

10:18 p.m. — A divisional rival reportedly looking for secondary help.

7:57 p.m. — Jason La Canfora, who correctly wrote that Vernon Davis was being dangled, reports that the Niners are open to dealing members of their offensive line.

San Francisco has talked to teams about its offensive linemen — guard Alex Boone has some allure from other clubs, while some execs have wondered if San Francisco might entertain dealing even left tackle Joe Staley under the right set of circumstances.

7:45 p.m. — The Cleveland Browns seem to be the wild card in all this. Various reports suggest tackle Joe Thomas, center Alex Mack and linebackers Paul Kruger and Barkevious Mingo are all available. Might Mingo (6-4, 240) be a fit in Philly? 5:22 p.m. —  We have our first trade.

5:15 p.m. —  A couple thoughts on Vinny Curry: I believe the Eagles are open but not overly-motivated to trade him. They likely recognize that the odds of re-signing him after this season aren’t tremendous, and wouldn’t mind getting something for him rather than just allowing him to walk out the door at season’s end. At the same time, he has value to the 2015 club — particularly as a pass-rusher. I don’t see a deal going down unless the Eagles find a suitor who is willing to hand over at quality player at a position of need (like offensive line, say) that is a system fit, or a relatively high pick. Given that Curry is not under contract beyond this season, would any team be willing to do that? — TM 5:00 p.m. — Interesting developments in San Francisco.

Some people are connecting the dots to Philly given Sam Bradford‘s struggles and Colin Kaepernick‘s potential fit in Chip Kelly‘s system. Never say never, but this seems more like a conversation for the offseason. — TM
