ThinkFest Preview: How One Philly Doctor Is Working to Reverse Blindness
Philadelphia is a hub of brilliant ideas — the draft latte and Spruce Street Harbor Park, to name just a few of our favorites — and on Friday November 6th, Philly Mag’s fourth annual ThinkFest will be bringing many of the folks who fill Philly with great ideas together in one space for the day so that we can all soak up their knowledge.
One of these speakers is Dr. Jean Bennett of University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine and, boy, is she full of big ideas. At her ThinkFest talk, From DNA to FDA: Reversing Blindness, Dr. Bennett will be talking all about her quest to reverse blindness (yes, reverse blindness) through gene therapy. And between hearing how Bennett is tackling blindness and how La Colombe owner Todd Carmichael came up with the draft latte, your head just might explode — in a good way.
Join us on November 6th at Drexel’s LeBow College of Business for a day of the city’s smartest people sharing their biggest ideas. Read all of our ThinkFest 2015 previews here and snag your ticket here.
