Giorgio on Pine Executive Chef Throwing Mazzoni Center Fundraiser
It’s a very good reason to eat and drink: Giorgio on Pine’s Executive Chef Crystal Fox is whipping up a special fundraiser for Mazzoni Center’s Food Bank.
The event at Tabu (200 South 12th Street) is simply called “Meals for Mazzoni” and will take place on Sunday, September 13 from 2pm to 5pm. Guests who arrive at 2PM can pay a $20 cover for an hour open bar; after 3PM, the cost is $6, which gets you a free drink and entrance to the event.
There will be dancers, DJ Chris Urban spinning, and, of course, food, which is the entire reason why Fox is throwing the event: 100% of the net proceeds from the event goes towards the Mazzoni Center’s Food Bank, which severed over 1,500 individuals and 1,300 families last year. The Mazzoni Food Bank services are “based on the belief that a healthy and balanced diet is vital to the overall health and well-being of persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.”
