Remember the good ol’ days, back when Whole Foods was Fresh Fields and many of the stores had Jamba Juice counters? At some point, those Jamba Juices disappeared, leaving many of us wondering if we’d ever see Jamba Juice again, but fret no longer: According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, local franchisee Andreana Chryssos is bringing the California-based smoothie chain to the Philly area with a vengeance, with multiple stores set to open this year.

After opening a kiosk at the King of Prussia Mall in 2013, Chryssos is hoping to open up to twenty Philly-area locations of the smoothie chain over the next twenty years. The first storefront will be opening in Willow Grove (4021 Welsh Road) on July 31st and another will open in Malvern (5 North Morehall Road) on August 18th.

After that, Chryssos wants to bring more Jamba Juices — which offer a jam-packed menu of juices, smoothies and teas, plus a smattering of wholesome snacks and sandwiches — to Center City, University City, and the suburbs. And apparently she’ll be partnering with local nonprofits to promote healthy living in her juice bars. Sounds good to us!
