While you were sleeping last night, someone was crashing a Cadillac Escalade SUV through a bank window in Philadelphia. And by “through,” we mean that the car wound up parked in the lobby of the bank.
It’s easy to imagine that someone crashing a gigantic car through the front window of a bank might intend to pull off a daring heist. But that’s not the case here.
According to police, a woman was driving the SUV eastbound on Jefferson Street around 2 a.m. on Thursday morning when she apparently lost control and crashed into the United Bank near the corner. Witnesses told police that the driver and two male passengers just walked away, and police are looking for them. The car is registered to an address on 29th Street.
