Ellen Shows Love For Post-It Wall at Rosa’s Fresh Pizza
“Let’s go to Rosa’s,” I said.
And, while I’d been there several times before and was aware of their optional buy-it forward purchase (one dollar buys another ‘slice’ that you get in the form of a post-it note, while a person in need takes the note and gets the tasty slice), nothing prepared me for the shop’s new look: what had been a respectable accumulation of post-its is now a total heartfelt post-it notes interior!
Seriously. Both walls. Top to bottom. Multi-colored post-its.
I felt weird asking Rosa (yep, that Rosa, whose son, owner Mason Wartman, named his pizzeria after) if I could take a photo, so I suggest you stop by to see it for yourself. (And maybe add to the colorful, generous, splendiferous interior?) It’s on 11th Street, between Market and Chestnut.
Here’s a video of Mason’s recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (she loved the charitable premise behind Rosa’s interior, which Wartman estimates feeds upwards of 40 homeless people per day.) :
