8 Tips for Planning a Bachelorette Party Without Going Insane

Last summer, we shared this mock email thread from a bunch of (fake) girls planning a (fake) bachelorette party with you because, well, it is awesome and needs to be read. Amazing as it is, though, everyone—myself, my coworkers, my girlfriends, any female, basically, who had ever been a part of trying to plan a bachelorette party—could barely read it because it was so accurate. (And by accurate, we mean painful and cringe-inducing.)

Planning a bachelorette party can be tough, that’s for sure—it involves a lot of cooks in the kitchen trying to fulfill the bride’s wishes but also keep themselves and each other happy in terms of the activities, the budget, and on and on and on.

That’s why we enjoyed this post on Loverly about how to plan a bachelorette party without losing your mind. They’re all great ways for both the bride and the ‘maids to approach putting together this outing without driving each other crazy, which sadly, is almost always an inevitable part of the process. I can especially attest to the tip about putting together an actual budget: I just received an extremely detailed, itemized list of what things would cost for a bachelorette getaway I have coming up next month, and knowing down to nearly the dollar what I will be spending has pretty much erased any spending stress that is so often associated with these parties.

Now, if only someone could erase the hangover portion of the program, we’d be all set. Do you have any other wisdom to shine on the bachelorette party-planning process?
