Beyonce and Outkast at Made in America?
As Philly waits with bated breath over the lineup for this year’s Made in America festival, social media is buzzing with some juicy rumors about who is going to take the stage during what is becoming an annual Labor Day weekend tradition on the Parkway. For those Ms. Carter fans who didn’t get to see Queen B last year, you might be in luck.
A source, an entertainment industry insider who wishes to remain anonymous, claims that Beyoncé will return to headline the Jay-Z-produced “Made in America 3” this summer, and that the official announcement will be made soon.
Meanwhile, Jasmine Whaley at iSocialite is reporting that Outkast might also take top billing at this year’s festival as part of the group’s 20th anniversary tour. According to Whaley, “Jay-Z has a fancy for booking artists with the hottest, most sought after ticket in the country. … Outkast also has the fan power to do Beyoncé-festival-sold-out ticket numbers.”
A Beyoncé/Outkast double header would be one hot ticket — so hot, in fact, that fans should take advantage of a special “pre-sale” going on now. You can purchase your two-day “Made in America” pass for $99.50, plus fees, when you visit Ticketmaster and use passcode “BMIA2014.”
