Walmart Building Huge Distribution Center in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia Business Journal reports that Walmart is building a 1 million square foot distribution facility in Bethlehem, Pa.—the company’s biggest such center to date. “The retail giant will employ 350 people at the online fulfillment center that ‘will deliver U.S. customer orders faster and at a lower cost,’ the company said in a statement. ‘The new online facilities extend Walmart’s anytime, anywhere experience that lets customers shop seamlessly across online, mobile and stores.’” The Journal notes this is part of a trend of Pennsylvania becoming one of the leading states for warehouse and distribution centers.
