What to Do, Eat and Wear
See a different side of the city on the Summer Wind, a sailboat tour on the Delaware. Bring a date – or up to three couples – and hit the river in time for sunset, gliding under the Ben Franklin Bridge while classic tunes set the pace for an open-air ride. As the sailors (mmm … sailors) furl and unfurl the sails, passengers can enjoy the wine they‚Äôve brought on board. Just don’ forget your camera. Early fall’s orange-kissed sunsets make the city – and your friends – look like superstars. Pier 24, 401 North Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, 215-900-7758.

WEAR IT
Suddenly Fem
For the past two decades, Suddenly Fem has been outfitting transwomen with stylish specialty fashions that express what it really means to be a lady. Commercials featuring the clothing – everything from dresses to casual looks to accessories – have even been aired on MTV and Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “The next frontier in the civil rights movement is for the transgendered community,” says Tyler DeSouza, vice president of the Philly-based online and catalog retailer. “We operate the same as any other fashion house.” The new fall line (think cocktail dresses, lingerie and a new line of jewelry) is inspired by visits to the runways of Paris and New York.
