Gluten Free Menus at Rex 1516


Rex 1516, the Southern inspired restaurant on South Street, has released gluten free menus for brunch, dinner, and dessert. They will be preparing their own gluten free breads and more in house to serve those with dietary restrictions.

For brunch the menu boasts of Shrimp & Grits with fried egg, roasted tomato, crispy pork belly, and blackened shrimp. On both the brunch and dinner menus there is an 8 ounce burger with a gluten free bun and gluten free toast and jam is available too.

For an appetizer there is a Farmer’s Plate of cheese, fruit, and meat along with gluten free crostini. The salads are crouton-free and the 12 oz. ribeye lacks the breaded crispy onions in favor of the gluten free menu.

The dessert consists of a King’s Gateau: a flourless chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse, banana ice cream, and peanut brittle.
