Satay Happy Hour at Sampan

Friday evenings at the Foobooz ancestral home always meant snack time. Sometimes that would mean satay. It was just how it was done,  So we’re pretty pumped to see that Sampan is now offering a $2 satay happy hour. Available Monday through Friday, the 4pm to 7pm special will feature an assortment of chef Michael Schulson’s satays including chicken, shrimp, scallops, lamb, Kobe beef, asparagus, mushrooms, pork and octopus;  all served with five dipping sauces including peanut sauce, chili sambal, nuoc cham, sweet chili and smoke mustard.

There will also be pitchers and 20 ounce glasses of three beers: Stoudt’s American Pale Ale, ($18/$6); Flying Fish Farmhouse Summer Ale ($21/$7);  and Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster’s Reserve Dark Matter ($24/$8).
