City Paper is looking for some food writers.

Attention Foodies:

Do you keep your finger on the pulse of the Philadelphia restaurant
scene? Grocery shop in tiny bodegas? Find yourself talking to the
locals about the best hole-in-the-wall food finds?

Is there anything you won’t eat? Anyone you won’t grill? Anywhere you
wouldn’t go for an amazing, never-before-told food story?

Can you tell hasomaki from futomaki, Mysores from Orinocos, and anolini
from anellone? Yeah? Can you explain it to readers in terms they’ll
understand, without compromising your writerly voice or the integrity
of the subject matter?

Are you addicted to Food Network? Capable of writing punchy food shorts
as well as bold, smart, thoughtful, irreverent and thoroughly
researched food features? Longing to pump some serious life into food
journalism?

Philadelphia City Paper (www.citypaper.net) is looking for a few
ambitious, creative, reliable, adventurous and knowledgeable freelance
food writers who want to make an immediate impact at the city’s
premiere alternative weekly. We’re in the midst of expanding our food
coverage and want the finest food voices Philadelphia has to offer.

fantastic food critics that rotate weekly, and we have no intention of
replacing them.
