Meet The Flwry: Philly’s First Flower Subscription Service

The Flwry, Philly’s new subscription flower service that would make for the loveliest thank-you gift.

When we caught word of The Flwry—Philly’s first flower subscription service that’ll launch in June—our initial thought was that it would make for a such a fantastic thank-you gift following your wedding for any of the ladies in your life who helped pull it off. (Say, for your mother-in-law who threw you a gorgeous shower, paid for your wedding shoes, and has just been a huge help throughout the entire process?) And after hearing the details of what The Flwry has to offer, we think you’ll agree.

The brainchild of Philadelphians Nicole Paloux and Nicole Rossi, The Flwry pairs with local farms to deliver you a pretty bundle of fresh cut flowers either once or twice per month. Here’s the deal:

• You’ll have two membership options to choose from, both of which come with a six month commitment: a full membership ($74 per month with two deliveries each month) or a half membership ($37 per month with one delivery per month).
• Every other week, beginning the first week of June, they’ll deliver the flowers to five different pickup locations throughout the city (easy-to-pop-into spots like bakeries, hotels and coffee shops).
• You (or your gift recipient) will pick up the bundle on Thursdays between 4:30-7 pm at whichever location is most convenient. Just a flash of the Flwry membership card and they’ll hand over your bag of blooms!

During each pickup week, The Flwry team will email you with care instructions and information about that week’s florals. The flowers will be packaged loosely (not in bouquets) so that you can arrange them to your liking, but The Flwry’s Instagram page will be filled with photos to help inspire you.

You’ll be able to order your subscription beginning in late April or early May (so all you spring and summer brides who will be looking for tokens of thanks around then, take note)—but since only 150 memberships are available, we suggest you take advantage of The Flwry’s pre-order special: They’ll be releasing 20 early memberships (10 full and 10 half memberships) for those who want to gift the service for Valentine’s Day. (Just in case you want to drop any hints for yourself.)
