Caitlyn Jenner: “Trans People Deserve Something Vital; They Deserve Your Respect”

Last evening, Caitlyn Jenner was honored with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the annual ESPY awards and presented a moving speech about her own transition and how our culture can be more accepting towards the trans community.
“It’s not just about one person,” said Jenner. “It’s about thousands of people…It’s about all of us accepting one another.”
Jenner became visibly moved when she talked about her friend, Diane Sawyer, the television journalist who conducted a groundbreaking interview with Jenner several months ago, and called Sawyer “my buddy.”
