When Yards Brewing Co. announced their expanded facility at 500 Spring Garden Street, we knew that the biggest craft brewer within Philadelphia city limits was going to go even bigger.

Tomorrow, their expansive new brewpub and production space will open to the public at 6 p.m., with a menu from chef Jim Burke and 20 taps in all.

According to Yards partner Trevor Pritchett, the brewery has room to grow in its new facility: the towering fermentation and aging tanks outside the building may soon continue down the block as production grows. The new space also includes a canning line, which Yards plans to put into operation sometime next year, starting with their Brawler, IPA, and Philadelphia Pale Ale.

After Thursday’s opening, the taproom will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
