#35 on the Philly Mag 50

This 13th Street Corridor restaurant is sorta like a funhouse: the retro photo booth, the spinning-motorcycle-as-art, the guacamole delivered by bicycle. The crazy concept is carried over to El Vez’s Mexican food, where tiny touches—sweet pineapple in the spicy tuna salsa, pickled onion on the pork confit taco—add intrigue.

Review
I have been to El vez Numerous times and feel a review is in order. The food is always outstanding and fresh. You cannot fool the public when it comes to freshness in food.Cheap, jerk restaurant will try and you only visit their establishment once i am sure. I think the people that are involved in the kitchen know this and neve try. Everything on the menu is a sure hit. The margaritas are the best in town and are consistently good. All of the help barkeeps are very knowledgeable when it comes to tequilas. All of the waitstaff are professionally trained in serving the public and their knowledge of the menu is real. All of the staff will give you their favorite dish which always excellent. The specials by Artie the chef will blow your mind. On some nights the females do outnumber the males so it is a good nightspot as i see it. I have been waiting for mabey a," bad night", or off night but it has not come yet. They are still hitting the target. Johnny Morris
