Review
Some friends and I went to dinner last night at Cork, looking to try a new place which boasted interesting fusion cuisine. The food was decent, but definitely overpriced, with small portions!! My husband and I spent $70 on soup (which was served in a ridiculously shallow dish), an appetizer (the mini-sized spring rolls), a selection from the cafe menu (lobster mac n'cheese-- it was tasted alright, but was tiny and lacked the amount of lobster one would expect for the size/price), and a salad with salmon. And stay away from the chocolate ganache torte-- I am a HUGE chocolate ANYTHING fan, and I did not like this at all-- everyone at the table sampled it and agreed: it was gritty and left an unpleasant aftertaste. After spending more than $200 there, our table walked out disappointed and wishing we would have stuck with a more economical food option that would have been much more satisfying! This is not to say there isn't atmosphere or ambience at Cork, but it's not worth the hefty price tag for the subpar food.
