UPDATE: Sam Bradford has returned to the Eagles today, the team confirmed. The quarterback also released the following statement via his agent, Tom Condon.

“I’m excited to be back on the field today with my teammates and coaches. The business-side of football is sometimes a necessary consideration. My attention and efforts are focused on the participation in and preparation for a championship season: I am committed to my teammates and the Eagles organization for nothing less.”

Original Story

Sam Bradford is expected to return to the fold today, according to Connor Barwin. From CBS Philly:

“He’ll be here today. I talked to him. He’ll be here this week — he’ll be here today,” Barwin told Howard Eskin on Monday’s 94WIP Morning Show. “I feel like I’m the Sam Bradford like news — reporting for Sam. But yeah, he’ll be here today.”

The reference to Bradford’s ‘news guy’ comes days after Barwin told the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show that Barwin will be back “in the next week or two.”

“He texted me and said, ‘I’ll see you tomorrow.’ And I said, ‘I can’t wait man.’

Bradford has been away from the NovaCare for two weeks. Shortly after the Eagles traded up to the No. 2 spot to select a quarterback, Bradford requested a trade and informed the team that he would no longer be attending the offseason conditioning program.

Howie Roseman and company did not grant Bradford his request despite some interest from Denver over draft weekend. With really no good options remaining, the 28-year-old QB apparently decided that it was time to return to the team.

The first set of OTAs are scheduled for May 17-19. Meanwhile, Carson Wentz will take the field beginning this Friday for the Eagles’ rookie camp.
