The WalkMichigan and Atlantic avenues, 609-872-7002; acoutlets.com What it is: A promenade-esque setup of factory outlets, in most cases thousands of miles from the actual factories. But no matter, you can score a classic Ralph Lauren Polo for under $50, and a size 2T pink one-piece from the Gap Outlet for 12 bucks. Among our favorites: Kenneth Cole, Banana Republic, Coach, Guess, Mikasa H&M and Borders. Parking here can be a challenge. In the eighties, it was Ocean One Mall. Now it's the main destination of A.C.’s new generation of high-end shoppers (and eaters). There's a Gucci. There's a Louis Vuitton. There's also windblown sea grass, herringbone flooring, spectacular ocean views up and down the beach, and A.C.’s very own wedding chapel. Rumjungle Coming Soon: The Atlantic Club Sometime this fall, the Pier’s fourth floor will become the Atlantic Club. This state-of-the-art site for special events—especially weddings—will be A.C.’s fancy take on Vegas’ Little White Wedding Chapel (except with NJ’s 72-hour waiting period). The club’s elegant layout, on-site wedding planner, florist, photographer and webcaster make it super luxe. Its ocean views, however, make it absolutely stunning. Bookings begin January 2007; 609-343-9902. The QuarterTropicana, South Brighton Avenue and Boardwalk, 800-THE-TROP; tropicana.net What it is: When the Trop opened its palm-treed, Havana-inspired tower, it instituted a bold, if temperate, late-night dress code. All the more reason to wear cut-offs and change into finer threads from Brooks Brothers, The Collection by Tahari, the White House/Black Market, and, for beneath it all, Chez Lingerie. There are cute things to snatch up at Rittenhouse Gift & Home, funky finds at Zephyr Gallery and kiddie pranks at Houdini’s, but if you ask us, the jewel of the Quarter is Bluemercury, the only place you can score T. LeClerc powder, NARS lip gloss and Creed perfume—and a serious mani-pedi—in one fabulous swoop. Here, find the spa-casino’s own ambient CD, hot shorts printed with “Go To Your Happy Place,” art glass, little black dresses, that famous calendar of Babes, and, in Bernie Robbins-owned Borgata Jewels, shiny happy watches by Jacob the Jeweler and Judith Leiber’s glittery clutches.
